Show information

At the end of each year, the production classes put on an amazing show where students shine on stage for whānau and the community.

Show Details
We have four performances:
  • The same show performed four times: Saturday 2pm & 6pm and Sunday 2pm & 6pm.
This year this it is held Saturday 28th November and Sunday 29th November.
  • Each class learns a scene that fits the story. Blocking and development of scenes happen during class in Term 3, and polishing and perfecting happens in class during Term 4. Full attendance is required in Term 3 & 4 to participate in the show.
NOTE: 12+ are able to audition for a lead part. Note: If they land the role, their timetable may change.

What Students Need
  • Costumes & most make up & additional hair pieces are created and provided for cast, and are property of Raglan Theatre Academy.
  • Some hair preparation with hair ties, and occasionally basic make up is required to be done/provided for from home.
  • Full attendance at all lessons and rehearsals.

Rehearsals
Other than weekly classes we also have:
  • Dress rehearsals (in costume): Friday, Saturday and Sunday the weekend before the shows at the Raglan Town Hall. This year this is: Fri 20th - Sunday 22nd November. (Friday rehearsal is after school)
  • Full dress & Tech rehearsal (costume): Friday of show weekend. This year that is Friday 27th November (Friday rehearsal is after school).

Parent Support
  • We require parent helpers in the dressing room to assist.
  • Volunteers are also needed to support pack in/pack out, make up/hair before shows and costume sewing support.

Tickets & Memories
  • Tickets are available to purchase online from 1st Oct onwards.
  • A professional photographer and videographer capture the show. Photos gifted to cast, with thanks to our photographer Amy for her incredible offering. Videographer costs, and a copy of the video can be purchased at an additional cost.

Our end of year production is a highlight of the year! With everyone’s support, it’s a magical experience for students, whanau and our community!
